Rajasthan’s Class 12 students got their results earlier than ever in 2026. RBSE declared the Senior Secondary result for all three streams on 31 March 2026, less than three weeks after the last paper on 11 March. That was the first time in the board’s history that Class 12 results came in March. Until 2025, they came in the second half of May.
Following this new pattern, the RBSE 12th Result 2027 is expected in late March or early April 2027. For more than 9 lakh Arts, Science and Commerce students, that means college admissions, JEE / NEET eligibility checks and state scheme applications will all start sooner. This guide covers the timeline, the stream-wise record, and exactly what to do after the result.

From May to March: How the Timeline Changed
| Year | Result date | Arts | Science |
|---|---|---|---|
| 2026 | 31 March | 97.54% | 97.52% |
| 2025 | 22 May | 97.78% | 98.43% |
In 2026 the board kept its high pass rates while cutting almost two months from the timeline. Pass rates dipped slightly in every stream, but all stayed well above 90%.
Expect the 2027 result within three weeks of the last paper, unless RBSE announces a different calendar. The 2027 exam time table has not been released yet.
The 2026 Result: Stream by Stream
| 2026 figure | Value |
|---|---|
| Students registered (all streams) | 9,10,009 |
| Exam dates | 12 February to 11 March 2026 |
| Result date | 31 March 2026 |
| Arts pass % | 97.54% (girls 98.29%, boys 96.68%) |
| Science pass % | 97.52% (girls 98.34%, boys 97.02%) |
| Highest score | 99.62% |
Girls did better than boys in both Arts and Science. Different outlets reported different Commerce figures for 2026, so check the official board release for the exact Commerce number.
Unlike many state boards, where the Arts pass rate is far below Science, Rajasthan’s Arts and Science pass rates are almost equal. The real competition in Rajasthan is not about passing. It is about percentages, because almost everyone passes.

Stream-wise SMS Codes (used in 2026)
| Stream | SMS format | Send to |
|---|---|---|

| Science | RJ12S <space> Roll Number | 5676750 or 56263 |
| Commerce | RJ12C <space> Roll Number | 5676750 or 56263 |
The digitally signed marksheet is also on DigiLocker, using the access code from your school.
Passing Rules
- 33% in each subject and 33% overall.
- In practical subjects (Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Geography and others), theory and practical marks are shown separately.
- Divisions: first (60%+), second (45–59%), third (33–44%).
Why Your Percentage Matters in Rajasthan
With pass rates near 97%, a pass on its own will not set you apart. Your percentage decides:
- JEE-based admissions to NITs, IIITs and IITs: you need 75% in Class 12 (65% for SC/ST) or a top-20-percentile position in your board. Many Rajasthan students preparing in Kota and Sikar need to meet this condition as well as their JEE rank.
- State university merit lists for BA, B.Sc and B.Com at universities such as Rajasthan University, where admission is often by 12th percentage.
- State merit-based schemes and scholarships, which usually set minimum percentages. Read each scheme’s current eligibility rules before applying.
Scrutiny After the Result
In 2026, RBSE opened scrutiny in April at ₹300 per subject. Scrutiny looks for:
- unmarked answers,
- mistakes in adding up marks,
- errors in copying marks to the result.
It does not re-mark your answers. Because percentages matter so much in Rajasthan, check each subject carefully and apply where the gap from your expected marks is too large to explain by strict marking.
Supplementary Exam
Students who fail in one or two subjects can take the RBSE supplementary exam. With the main result now in March, the supplementary exam may be held earlier than the traditional July–August slot. Follow the board notice after the result, so that a passed supplementary still lets you join college in the same year.
Common Mistakes on Result Day
- Choosing the wrong stream link, for example Science instead of Commerce.
- Using the wrong SMS code for your stream (RJ12A, RJ12S or RJ12C).
- Not checking practical marks. A missing practical score can turn a pass into a fail.
- Waiting for May to plan admissions. With a March result, forms and merit lists may open earlier.
What to Do After the Result
Science students
- Check your JEE eligibility (the 75% rule) and your NEET documents.
- Rajasthan engineering colleges admit through JEE Main-based counselling. Watch for the state’s engineering admission schedule.
Commerce students
- B.Com and BBA admissions at state universities through merit lists.
- CA Foundation registration after Class 12.
Arts students
- BA admissions at state universities and colleges.
- Law through CLAT or university entrance tests. Teacher education through Rajasthan’s integrated programmes and PTET, if applicable.
All streams
- CUET-UG for central universities, including the Central University of Rajasthan. The form usually closes early, so register in advance.
